wee~ met up with my dear S05 peeps last night. well, as usual i was de one who organised de gathering [all thanks to luther who always pushes de job of organising a gathering, to me or calyn]. i wonder who's gonna organise another gathering during my 3 months away from SG. haha. 9 of us turned up at de gathering ytd. quite surprising, cuz usually only a handful of us will turn up. ytd's gathering was sorta belated birthday celebration for shiying. his birthday is in March, but we couldn't celebrate with him cuz he was in Aussie.
we were supposed to eat at de 24hrs Coffee Club beside California Fitness, but we ended up at Paragon's Nooch instead. before Nooch, we were actually at Wisma's Coffee Club for abt 15mins. reason being, all had arrived except for me, calyn, jj and luther. obviously de 4 of us were late and luther was de latest to arrive. anyway, those who had arrived before de 4 of us, were getting hungry alrdy. so mingwei called and told me they wanna go to de Coffee Club at Wisma to order food first; they were lazy to walk to de outlet near California Fitness. haha. when calyn, jj and i arrived at de coffee club, de others had not ordered their food yet. they said dere are not much variety of food to choose from, mainly sandwiches and only a few different types of pasta/baked rice. haha. so we decided to change venue.
discussion took quite some time to come to an end, cuz we kept digressing from our main topic. haha. it always happens when we wanna discuss on something. when we finally settled on de venue, all of us were thinking of how to get out of Coffee Club. imagine how de waiters will react when a big group of us juz sit dere, ordered nothing at all and den walk off? haha. so after much hesitation, jj and calyn stood up and walked away first, den followed by de rest of us. up till now, have you realised i haven mention anything abt luther? why? cuz he hasn't arrived!! when he finally appeared, we proceeded to paragon.
it was very crowded at Nooch and we were told dat de waiting time was abt 15-20mins as it was not easy to find a table to accommodate such a big group of us. so we waited patiently since it doesn't make a difference to eat elsewhere. it was a Friday night; everywhere was crowded. when we were finally given a table, all of us settled down promptly. obviously, we were super hungry alrdy. haha. sy, mw, wq, luther and mel had Jap food while mag, calyn, jj and i had Thai food. de food was quite up to standard as compared to de outlet at City Link, which i tot was so-so only. after dinner, we were deciding on where to chill out. i was very insistent on my 24hrs Coffee Club, so de verdict was Coffee Club. haha. before we settled our bill, luther came up with this silly idea to trick sy into treating us for de dinner. he wanted to give sy his birthday present before we call for de bill, hoping dat sy will treat us out of gratitude. haha. when sy saw de present, he liked it alot as it is something he had been wanting to get - a sweater. den luther tried to talk him into paying our dinner. apparently, luther's plan failed lah. haha. sy offered to treat us to drinks at Coffee Club instead.
at Coffee Club, de waiting time was even longer than at Nooch. jj got quite impatient while waiting. 30mins of waiting time, who wouldn't be frustrated? but still, we waited. haha. very persistent eh. actually we could have gotten our table much earlier, but we were told dat dere was this group of pple who alrdy paid their bill, were still chatting away. grr.. we were so pissed then but wad to do. after abt 30 mins of waiting, we FINALLY got our table. we ordered our drinks and chatted till abt 11+pm. it was a great time catching up with one another. i always like chilling out. itz so relaxed and entertaining being with frenz whom we haven met for quite awhile.
after dat, we went home separately. mw, sy, wq and mel took de mrt while mag, calyn, jj, luther and i took de bus. well, only calyn took de bus. haha. after we sent calyn off, we decided to take a cab instead. de 4 of us live around de same area ma. jj somehow succeeded in psycho-ing luther to pay for de cab fare lah. haha. it was an entertaining journey back home cuz de cab driver was quite a funny character. he asked us several questions like where we study, and even told us abt his children's educational background on his own accord. luther and jj crapped alot when he was trying to find out de school we are currently studying in. haha. he told us dat his children scored very good grades and are from reputable schools like Victoria JC and NTU. somehow i feel dat de driver is showing off. or maybe he's juz proud of his kids lah huh. wadever.
